According to the American Diabetes Association, there is a total of 25.8 million children and adults with diabetes in the United States. That’s 8.3% of the population!!! In New York there are 440,000 Latinos with Diabetes and growing. The American Diabetes Association leads the fight against the deadly consequences of diabetes and fights for those affected—by diabetes by funding research to prevent, cure and manage diabetes and delivering services and information to hundreds of communities. They also give voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes.
